CHALLENGE

Kopari is a leader the lip category, thanks to the brand’s ever-popular Lip Glossy. In order to grow Kopari’s credibility in this category, the cult-favorite if-you-know-you-know Lip Scrubby—a volcanic sand, coconut oil, and brown sugar lip exfoliant—needed a makeover. Prior to the repackaging, Lip Scrubby came in a tube—not ideal for showcasing the incredible formulation and yummy texture, and tough to differentiate from the Lip Glossy on shelf. Our goals were to increase customer value through doubling the product size, showcase the product texture, and push Kopari into the lip treatment conversation while maximizing lip category sales across all channels.

 
 

APPROACH

To rework Lip Scrubby in a shelfie-worthy manner, we re-designed the primary and secondary product packaging. A minimalistic recyclable plastic primary component shows the cleaner than clean ingredients and a new, sleek secondary packaging reflects Kopari’s 2021 look and feel. Through lush, texture and ingredient-focused photography by Créme Collective, Lip Scrubby launched as a necessary companion to consumers’ lip routines.
